TransLink, officially the South Coast British Columbia Transportation Authority, is the statutory authority responsible for transportation planning and management in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia. This includes an extensive bus system throughout the region, SkyTrain rapid transit, SeaBus passenger ferries, West Coast Express commuter rail, and HandyDART for passengers who are unable to use conventional transit. Coast Mountain Bus Company, an operating subsidiary of TransLink, operates over 96% of the region's bus service and SeaBus service in the Metro Vancouver area. West Vancouver Transit (commonly known as Blue Bus and formally and Formerlyly as West Vancouver Municipal Transit) is owned and operated by the District Municipality of West Vancouver under a contract with TransLink and operated the remaining 4% of the region's bus service. Since 1998, TransLink has operated over 500 buses built by Nova Bus.
